Laura is one of the premiere singer songwriters in the Washington DC area. She is known for beautifully crafted songs and powerful vocals. She's jazzy, bluesy, with a strong acoustic Indie background. 

Laura has won over 20 awards from the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest. She received GOLD awards for Peace Someday, Kindness Don’t Rest Easy, Winter Don’t Own Me and Marijke. 

She is also a Wammie Award winner (Washington Area Music Awards) She received Song of the Year for “A Little Note.” (See the "A Little Note Video). Her awards include Contemporary Folk Recording (Heart of the Great Unknown) and Contemporary Folk Vocalist of the year.

Laura’s musical evolution has been shaped by her personal and spiritual experiences. In 2011 she adopted a little girl from an orphanage in New Delhi, India. This emotional journey has strongly influenced her  album "Heart Of The Great UnKnown."
